Flexmonster SEO Project Background
Flexmonster was a short term SEO project, due to a very tight budget. Flexmonster offers flex/flash development services, flash pivot table component and SalesForce components. The most interesting thing on this project was that basically site is targeting four completely different targeted segments:
- Professional business people who are looking for quality professional flex development
- Businesses and software’s that are looking for a web based flex or flash pivot table and charts component
- People who would like to offer online design capabilities on their site
- Salesforce components and Salesforce component development services
SEO research and analysis
Keywords research for Flexmonster showed that the competition for our targeted keywords were not hat high, but as later it turned it was extremely difficult to rank for specific keywords like e.g. flex olap, because such sites as Adobe and InsideRia are ranking with numerous pages. None the less only in a period of 4 month we managed to rank for the most of your targeted keywords in google 3-10 positions. Main targeted keywords pivot table, flash pivot table, flex pivot table, web based pivot table, flex olap, flex component development, salesforce flex components, salesforce air components, t shirt design tool.
As Flexmonster keywords ranged from pivot table to flex olap and t shirt design, it was really an interesting and challenging project for me to work on.
SEO Strategies used
As we were on a tight budget basically only the on-site optimization and some link building strategies were used.
- Keyword research
- Competitor backlink analysis
- Keyword rich content development for the whole site
- On-Site SEO optimization – unique tiles, meta, keywords and description tags for every page of the website
- Link building – quality directory submissions, social bookmarking, press release writing and distribution etc.
- Social Media – successfully implemented Facebook and Twitter strategies that unexpectedly had a very high ROI rate.
